MBB Annual Meeting
Saturday, May 3, 2008

The Museum of Beer & Brewing “Annual Meeting” is always the first Saturday in May and this year is no exception. However, this year, due to a shear coincidence, we have more beer and brewing fun to offer our Members!

Our observant Treasurer, John Kretsch, always in the know when it comes to beer related events, noticed our date coincided with a Wisconsin Alumni Association event that features a beer tasting, dinner and discussion of beer and our very own MBB Board Member, Dr. David Ryder!

The beer tasting features 18 Wisconsin breweries, including the rollout of Miller’s new Miller Lite Brewers Collection “Wheat, Amber, and Blonde Ale”. Our home-brewing friends with the Beer Barons of Milwaukee will also be providing some samples as well.

Dr. Ryder is the Brewmaster for Miller Brewing Company and will give a talk entitled, “Myth and Magic of Beer through the Ages.” Also speaking is author Robin Shepard who will be discussing “The Search for the Perfect Pint.” The cost is $45.

The event is being held at the:
Bavarian Inn
700 West Lexington Boulevard
Glendale, WI 53217

The Museum of Beer & Brewing “Annual Meeting” will start at 4:00 and will include our Board of Directors election and a “State of the Museum” update from our President Jim Haertel. A $15 donation will help cover the cost of appetizers and beer and beverages.

Our meeting will end promptly at 5:00 for those wishing to attend the beer tasting, dinner and program. Members not attending the beer tasting may linger a while until 5:30.

The MBB can sign you up for one event or the other ($15 or $45), but hopefully for both. The beer tasting has a maximum of 250 attendees and you are advised to reserve a spot A.S.A.P. Contact Jim Haertel at 414-630-1609 or jchaertel@aol.com or mail reservations and proxies to MBB at P.O. Box 1376, Milwaukee, WI 53201.

To contact the beer tasting directly, please contact Rod Reineke at 414-659-1144. The optional Beer Tasting, Dinner & Presentation starts at 5:00.
