Tim has worked in the brewing industry for over 30 years. He began his career with Miller Brewing Company in 1983 in the Quality Control Department in Milwaukee. Over the course of the years Tim progressed through Quality, Packaging and Brewing in various assignments as supervisor, manager and department head. In 2014 Tim retired from MillerCoors as Brewmaster of the Milwaukee Brewery.
Tim and his wife Michele have five children. They have lived in Milwaukee, Chippewa Falls, Cincinnati and the Dallas/Ft. Worth areas following Tim’s career with Miller. Needless to say they are all true blue High Life fans. They returned to Milwaukee in 2006.
Tim graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a BS Degree in Dairy Science and Meat & Animal Science. Tim is an avid skier, gardener and frustrated golfer. He is a graduate of the Siebels Institute of Technology where he graduated at the top of his class in 1995. Tim is an active member of the Master Brewers Association of the Americas since 1992 and has participated in various committees and districts over the years.
Tim joined the MBB because of his interest in the evolution of brewing techniques. Having worked in several breweries with cellars and equipment dating back to the early 1900’s, Tim found the innovation and productivity of early brewers remarkable. Tim believes sharing this history with more people will increase the appreciation of brewing contributions to society.
